Karen “Kiera” Preston, MSN, NP-C is a dedicated nurse practitioner with dual certifications in family health and functional medicine. With over 20 years of experience in family health, functional and personalized medicine, research, and community education, she seamlessly blends the principles of functional and Western medicine to offer her patients the best care. Kiera’s primary goal is to unlock your health and wellness potential by addressing the root causes of your health concerns and symptoms.

Kiera’s approach is both comprehensive and individualized, utilizing state-of-the-art testing and a deep understanding of systems biology to identify where there are breakdowns and how to effectively repair or improve these areas. Kiera began her career in family medicine after earning her Master of Nursing Science (MSN) from the University of Pennsylvania in 2009. Her passion for education led her back to UPenn to teach in the MSN program while continuing her practice in the private sector. In 2013, she began her journey in functional medicine with the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM), achieving certification in 2015. Additionally, Kiera holds a Bachelor of Arts from Bryn Mawr College and a Bachelor of Nursing Science from George Mason University.
