Hypnosis Help for High Stress Times

The Covid-19 and Racism pandemics have simultaneously been wreaking havoc around the world. No one seems exempt. As we have been pulled out of the safety and protection of our comfort zones, we’ve become adrift, anxious, alienated, confused, concerned, stressed, worried, angry, fearful, helpless, hopeless, financially upended, physically threatened, emotionally unstable and mentally overwhelmed. And only those who have suffered the atrocities of Racism over centuries know the paralyzing effects of being constantly hypervigilant and enduring both pre- and post- traumatic stress.

We know that smiling, laughing, meditating, and doing “random acts of kindness” can release pent up energy and create happy feelings and positive emotions, including relaxation, peacefulness, serenity and tranquility. Those methods can combat the overwhelming feelings mentioned above. In addition, and to a deeper, more permanent level, self-hypnosis can help you achieve the same goal.

A Tibetan monk’s expression says: “Peace is not the absence of storm, but tranquility within the storm.” While we all have storms and stresses in our lives, we can use self-hypnosis to change how we react to and weather them as comfortably as possible. We have the potential to transform our lives!

By using the techniques in my free Serenity and Self Hypnosis MP3 recording (www.hypno-health.net), you can learn how to enter the hypnotic state and return to it whenever you want. You can then release the influence of negativity in your life and replace it with positivity. By doing so, you enable and empower yourself to transcend from being reactive to being proactive – for good!

After listening to the Serenity and Self-Hypnosis MP3 recording, gather up something to write with and write on, perhaps even a computer. Go into your self-hypnotic state with your anchoring movement. As you work with the Hypno-Health’s Four Rs of Hypnosis, you will be going back and forth from eye-closed to eye open-hypnosis. When it’s time to write something down, you will open your eyes to do so and still be in hypnosis. Then simply close your eyes when ready and resume gathering information from your subconscious mind.

Hypno-Health’s Four Rs of Hypnosis

1. Recognize the roots of your issue.
Ask your subconscious mind to bring forward a number that represents the reasons (messages, experiences and influences in your life) that caused the habit to take hold.
Go to each numbered reason and ask your subconscious to explain it thoroughly. When ready, open your eyes and write down the information.
Repeat that process until you have gathered information for each reason.

2. Release the influence of each root.
Gather up all aspects of the influence of each root and disconnect them so completely from your subconscious mind that they disappear permanently (bury, burn, evaporate, throw into ocean, melt away, release to universe, etc.).
Each time you disconnect the influences of a root, project ahead in your mind and imagine how you are going to be as a result of what you released.

3. Replace each root with positive perceptions of the new you.
You actually started this when you released the influences of each root and projected ahead.
Allow positive perceptions – thoughts, feelings, or images – to come into your awareness and write them down.
This creates the new program that, through repetition, becomes the new habit in your subconscious mind.

4. Reinforce the new program with an affirmation.
Ask your subconscious mind to give you a word, or words, that represents your positive perceptions.
The repetition of that word, your affirmation, enables the new program to become the new habit.

Daily Practice for Reinforcing the New Habit:

In a conscious state:
Say your affirmation out loud or to yourself, twenty times in a row, three times a day. (Keep track by counting on your fingers.)
In a subconscious state:
Tap into your subconscious mind with your anchoring movement for self-hypnosis (from the Self-Hypnosis MP3).
Repeat your affirmation, out loud or in your mind, a comfortable number of times (your subconscious mind will stop you when you’ve said it enough times to be helpful).
While still in a state of Self-Hypnosis, imagine yourself at a fork in a road: one road represents the old habit, the other the new habit. As you focus on the old habit road, your subconscious mind makes it disappear completely. Then focus on the new habit road and positive results will come into your awareness – making the new you program stronger each time you do so. (This should take about 5 minutes.) When ready, open your eyes and return to full consciousness.
New habits can take hold in three to four weeks. Do the reinforcement process for at least four weeks – maybe longer – until you know the new you is firmly in place.
