Alan holds a BA in Creative Writing, with minors in Psychology and History from The University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He was also an adjunct instructor at the Northeast Institute of Whole Health in New Hampshire. He is currently editing his self-help book about healing emotional wounds entitled The Suggestions, Tools for Finding and Reuniting our Many Selves.
He is a devoted husband, father and doting new grandfather with a lifelong burning passion to understand the often-mysterious ways he and others make choices and decisions and come to respond or react to life’s challenges and lessons. His interests are eclectic and wide-ranging, and his favorite social activity is sharing good cheer, good food, good wine, and good music. He’s been a professional photographer, a musician, a celebrity agent, an entrepreneur and even a blackjack dealer. He really enjoys stretching his mind and neural network by actively challenging himself to learn new skills. As Bob Dylan wrote, “He who is not busy being born, is busy dying.”
He is an avid reader and writer and when his back is fit a very happy golfer. He embraces meditation and breath work, and the Buddhist belief that all souls are connected. How we treat others determines how and what our important life lessons unfold. In life, most people are either glass half-full optimists ready to say yes to most new opportunities, or glass half-empty pessimists who more often react negatively to new situations. Alan feels like his glass is nearly always spilling over-the-top full and is grateful for every day because it just might spark the beginning of a new adventure! He very much looks forward to sharing smiles and joy with new clients and friends.
